Info on me and some random thoughts!

Hey everyone as you might have realised by looking at my url my name is Caitlin but feel free to refer to me as Cait or Caity. I'm not particularly fussed on what you call me. Ok well like any typical girl my interests include shopping (when I have money for it ofcoarse!). I also love the beach it's like my second home probably because apparently I've been in the ocean since I was like 3 or 4 months old or something like that. I also love my sports and am an active participant in a few different kinds. The three major sports that i love include surfing, soccer and snowboarding. I also try to skateboard but absolutely suck at it at the moment but I can get a little bit off the ground when I attempt an ollie. Hmm what else to put... ... um ok well i love to travel! I've been to Hawaii, California, Mexico, New Zealand and numerous locations down the eastern coast of Australia. But i want to travel to so many more different locations around the world like Europe, Canada and I'd love to visit different parts of the United States of America like New York for example. Ok well enough about me and lets into the subject of New Communication Technologies.

Ok well so far I find this course pretty interesting but the video we watched today called 'La Jetee' really confused me close to the end. It confused me because they were going on about how the man kept seeing this unknown/unfamilar woman and then in the end she didnt even exist and it made me wonder if the experiments that were being conducted on the man were real or not. Because at the start you see him witnessing a man dying and then at the end they turn it around to show that he was the man that died. This made me question whether the experiments and the lady were just dreams that the man had because if he did infact die before he became a prisoner then how could the experiments or the lady be real. The other way I look at it includes that the man had a vision into the future that day on the jetty and saw the man/himself die. But if I keep thinking about it and talking about it I'll just confuse myself even more. But I did consider the video 'La Jetee" to be very fascinating and interesting as it held my interest the whole way through, because I was unsure of what was actually going on I was hooked, I wanted to try to figure what was going on. I thought I had grasped the whole concept of the movie but then the end scene just threw that out the window and left me questioning what had actually happened. Which in my opinion is good and I liked it because it kept me thinking the whole way through.

Now onto the fascinating subject of New Communication Technologies. I feel as though this subject is important in everday life because the future is always changing and it enables us to stay in the loop of what technology is doing and how it is changing. It is also a very important and helpful tool for my future career and everday life because technlolgy is constantly evolving and it is becoming a requirement in most/all jobs that you have a good grasp on technology and how it works. So basically without the knowledge of how to use technology the world wouldnt be evolving how it is and there wouldnt be so many opportunities available to the oler/up and coming generations. Therefore since it is a basic tool in everday life for many people now (including myself) I see New Communication Technologies as a compulsory source of knowledge that i need to be able to gain the career that i wish to undertake.

Hmm pretty sure I have carried on about stuff enough for today so I'll leave you to it.

Caity...
