Mobile Technolgy

Whilst i was conducting research on my topic for the Academic Essay i came across these three resources that will be useful when i am researching Mobile Technology and how the human race is so dependant on such a fragile technolgy.

Mobile Technologies of the City [electronic resource]

Publication: Hoboken : Taylor & Francis Ltd, 2006.

This book looks at how the modern city is becoming more reliable on modern technology and how mobile phones, networks and technology are an integral part of our everyday society and lifestyle. It shows how basically everyone has access to some form of mobile technology and how everyone relies on it so heavily. It brings to the readers attention that although mobile technology makes us feel empowered and important we are really very vulnerable if the slightest technological failure ever occurs.


By researching these topics it helped me to formulate my topic by allowing me to see that the world is becoming more mobile and then we are becoming more dependant on mobile technology. Therefore i see this topic as being very broad but it also allows me to choose one of many possible avenues to research further.
